False Prophets Are Among Us – Like Grass On Concrete.

I started laughing my buttocks off the other day.  I was walking away from the hospital when it happened.  I started walking over the parking lot – I passed a couple rows of cars – I stepped up onto a median and walked across the concrete separating the first section of cars from the second – I stepped back down the median – I passed more cars – I stepped up onto another median – this time the median was coated with plush green grass – I stepped off the median – I walked across the parking lot as I passed a few more sections of cars  – I stepped up onto another median – I walked across green concrete. . .

I stopped and did a double take.

Green concrete?

If you don’t believe me, take a look at the picture.  Somebody had painted the concrete separating the cars – you got it – green.

I was flabbergasted.  I started laughing hysterically.  Luckily a friend of mine was with me so I didn’t look like a complete idiot, standing on fake grass concrete, laughing my buttocks off and snapping pictures faster than you could say GRASS.

Ah!  It’s green!  What beautiful GRASS you have, my dear!

I don’t think I have laughed that hard in a long time.  Green concrete.   Unbelievable.

I mean, there HAS to be a lesson here!

And I think there is.  Listen to Jesus’ words.

“Many false prophets will come and cause many people to believe lies.”  Matthew 24:11

They will be spray-painted like green concrete.  From a distance, they will look just fine.  You may not hear them say anything false.  They may even say Jesus is Lord (Matthew 15:8).  These false prophets can be real slick.  But they are green concrete.

I am very concerned about this.  It is the last days, faithful friends.  False prophets are going to be coming out of the woodwork like termites.  Jesus said it would happen.  And it is already happening.   You see, I know of one.

And he is a doozie.

I didn’t see anything wrong.  Sure, there were oddities in his mannerisms, but he knew Biblical history.  Sure, there was a little check in my spirit, but he was the leader of the chruch.  He quoted scripture in every sentence.   Nothing this man said about Jesus raised a red flag.  None of his words were “against Christ.”  Yet, one day the man came to bless my house, and while he was blessing it, he decided to cast out a demon.

Yes, you got me.  He tried to cast out what he said was a demon – from MY house.

The hackles on the back of my neck stood on end.  The Spirit inside me said, “Watch yourself!”

This so called “follower of Christ” warned me that these spirits could throw things and cautioned me to stay back.  He proceeded to walk around my house.  At one point, without knowing I was watching his reflection in the window, he bent down, picked up a highlighter FROM MY BIBLE, and threw it across the room.

“A marker is the best you got?” he shouted to this so called “bad spirit” who had allegedly “thrown” the marker.

The green spray paint he had used to paint himself a follower of my God fell away and I saw the cold, gray concrete underneath.

For days, weeks, and even years I have wondered why God allowed me to have that experience.  Why didn’t God warn me earlier about this man?  Was I just blind?

Here is the conclusion I have come to: God wanted me to have that experience just like it happened because this man could talk the talk.

A false prophet can spray paint themselves so well it takes some time to identify them.

I am saying all that to say this.  Watch yourselves.  Be in the Word.  Be in the Spirit.  God will reveal to you falseness.  Sometimes it will be an instant “feeling,” and at other times it will take some time.

But I tell you this, they are coming out of the woodwork like termites.  Scripture gives us a clear road map to determining their true colors.  Listen.

“For such are false prophets, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ.  And no wonder!  For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.  Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their WORKS.”  2 Corinthians 11:13-15

“You will know them by their fruits.  You will know them by what they DO.”  Matthew 7:16

You see, you can talk the talk, but rarely can you walk the walk.

I am grateful for my experience with the false prophet, because now I know they can disguise themselves like green concrete.

Yes, false prophets are among us. They can even say His name.

What did Jesus say?

“On that day many will say to me  ‘Lord, Lord, we spoke for you, and through you we forced out demons and did many miracles.’ Then I will tell them clearly, ‘Get away from me, you who do evil.  I never knew you.”  Matthew 7:22-23

Listen to the Spirit inside you in these last days.  Call out to Daddy for discernment. He will reveal green concrete from real grass if you remain in His Son.  “Remain in me and I will remain in you.” (John 15:4).

But let me leave you with some good news; if false prophets are coming out of the woodwork like termites, the end is near.

The clouds will soon part.

The shofar will soon sound.

The dead in Christ will soon rise.

And Eden comes again.

Amen and Amen.  Come Quickly Lord Jesus!

Wow. What a doozie indeed. I have an entirely new perspective on those talking to Jesus in Matthew 7 now. Maybe they really didn’t do any of those things, just put themselves in positions to look like they did and/or maybe really believed they were called to those things. This makes Jesus’ response even better! That also helps me deal with the question of how non believers could cast out demons since satan can’t stand against himself-they never really cast out demons in the first place. This is bringing on some revelation! 🙂

Ok more thoughts running through my brain. I noticed that the false prophets are the only ones making commentary on their actions. Jesus doesn’t confirm that they did those things, but calls them evildoers. Who is an evildoer? Satan. What is his native tongue? Lying. So if these ppl are sons of the devil, then they’d be lying straight through their teeth to Truth himself! How crazy that they think they can pull a fast one on Jesus! Or maybe they start to believe the lies themselves in a moment of desperation. I cannot tell you how many church sermons I’ve heard where the pastor has preached that specific text in Matthew and said, “These ppl are unbelievers and evildoers according the Jesus, yet they cast out demons and worked miracles.” No! They didn’t! They threw ppl’s highlighters across the room and patted themselves on the back! Ahhh! I cannot tell you how long I’ve been hearing teachings on this, and yet none of them sat quite right with me. Thank you for sharing!
