Welcome to Nic's Revelations

Hi! I'm Nic. So glad you stopped by today. When my husband was killed in action, my world became dark, but over the course of time Jesus has shown me how much He can SHINE through the darkness. I don't know what darkness surrounds you, but if you believe in the Savior, He can be your hope. And His hope is returning one day to take all the darkness away. I speak about this hope in my book entitled "Revelations: A Survivor's Story of Faith, Hope and the Coming Kingdom" which is available here and on Amazon. This site offers those walking in darkness hope so that our faith can be bold and victorious. My blogs are categorized for you by topic. If you want to know more about my story, you can read about it under "Check Out My Story." No matter what you are going through, know this: He's Coming and He Shines. Will you dare to believe it? I dare you. Believe. Hope. And SHINE.

We went to a fourth of July celebration the other night.  There were fireworks and food and rides and slides.  Dak had a blast.  At one point people started pointing to the skies.  Some parachuters had jumped out of a helicopter and they were spinning in the clouds with some streaming red smoke behind them. […]

I was at the pool the other day with my child and his best friend.   They were drinking some fruit punch on their towels.  Dak had purple and his friend had red.  So I am just hanging out with them, listening to their conversation.  Dak says, “Rishi, you spilled.”  I turned and saw that […]

“I have fought the good fight; I have finished the race; I have kept the faith.”  2 Timothy 4:7 I like it that Paul relates the Christian walk (or run) to a race.    In a race, you can’t go too fast or too slow.  The secret is endurance.  Listen to scripture: “But the one who […]

  • When You Go Nose To Nose, I Dare You To Pray For The Moxie Of Jesus

I just love Jesus.  I mean, the guy had guts.  Many in the church today think Jesus was “meek and mild,” but I beg to differ.  Jesus was a Bad Ass.  Sorry, easily offended Christian friends, but it is the truth. I mean I can almost hear George Thorogood’s “Bad to the Bone!” blaring in […]

  • Let’s Ram a Tent Peg Into The Enemy’s Head.

For the past month or so I have been studying women in scripture. Specifically, I have been studying how women can be used by God.  Women leadership has always been a major issue in the church.  Can women be leaders?  What is God’s will on this? There are opinions from all corners on this topic, […]

  • Crying over Coke

Yesterday I went to the World of Coca-Cola in Atlanta.   I knew they did some sort of military discount so when I went to the ticket booth I asked about it.  The pretty girl behind the glass replied,  ”We do them for the Active Duty Solder.” I have heard this before and it gets […]
